Kimbra, “Cameo Lover”
This is my #7 jam of the year. Everything about it is just the bee’s knees; there is something that’s so deliciously 1950s camp about this song; this is She & Him without the hipster pretense; this is She & Him if they allowed themselves to laugh once in a while; no, no, no, this is distinctly Kimbra. Wait for the keychangey-piano-based breakdown at the middle 8. That is not only the bee’s knees, but all the honeycombs in the entire world.

Unlike most writers, Rohin Guha is not terribly afraid of pop music. In fact, he pens the Pop For Skeptics column for Flavorwire. He also does a bit of online content production and social media development and if you want his help on that, go here for more details. This is his vanity blog. He would love to hear from you. Honest.
