I have not watched “Glee” yet. And I am afraid to.

Because I would really like some cheesy singing and dancing in my life.  Like, I crave that shit.  But some other ish is bothering me.  So if they could just get it together a bit, then I could enjoy some ridiculous, choreographed numbers.  That’s all I want.

Here’s the deal, after watching 3 episodes. Check your brain at the door, don’t expect miracles (other than the television kind) and enjoy the lip-sync’d wonder. In the end, it’s as rewarding as network television gets: It’s uneven, but has its moments of sheer joy, which are worth the trouble of getting there.

Not having seen tonight’s episode and going only by the those of the past few weeks, it’s a strictly three-and-a-half out of five stars type of show but with a lot of promise. For me, it’s not the gay guy who I’m probably expected to sympathize with or the song-and-dance bits I’m expected to like. It’s totally Jane Lynch. She makes the show.
