Fabulous fashion writer Colleen Nika sent me this link at 4:13 this morning. Obviously I didn’t read it until now. It raises some excellent points that I think everyone kind of forgot, what with the meltdown of Manhattan media and all.
It also makes me think of freelancers as wild weeds just kind of flailing about the tundra until some enterprising editor decides to uproot them and domesticate them in their decidedly less hostile garden. Where they turn into gnarly, weird-looking trees, like this maybe.
