This building is next to my aunt’s house in Delhi. Because Indian bureaucracy moves at a glacial pace, people with small fortunes can go ahead and erect large houses without actually purchasing the land. Apparently the government gave these people a notice to sort out the legalities. When that notice went ignored, they just showed up one day and razed the building.
Then they forgot to clean up the rubble. Oh, government.
