Namie Amuro, “COPY THAT”
Really this isn’t any different than listening to the Black Eyed Peas. I don’t understand much of what they’re “singing” either.
I want to qualify this comparison by saying something about how much BEP sucks, but when I was interviewing Calvin Harris a few months ago (totally unrelated I know, but I’m nearing a point) earlier this year, he presented some wisdom quite plainly: If BEP did need suck, they wouldn’t have sold as well as they did in 2009.
And to bring it full circle, Past>Future, Amuro’s new album on which this song features, came out on December 16. By December 19, it sold over 300,000 copies and within that first week in Japan, it became her sixth studio album to go #1.

Unlike most writers, Rohin Guha is not terribly afraid of pop music. He also does a bit of online content production and social media development and if you want his help on that, go here for more details. This is his vanity blog. He would love to hear from you. Honest.
